3M 5973 is a specially designed medium cutting compound for removing grade 1200, 1500, and 2000 color sanding scratches in automotive paints including clearcoats. 3M 5973 produces minimal compound swirl marks while buffing to a high gloss. When followed by the 3M Perfect-It Foam Polishing Pad Glaze, (i.e. 5995, 5996) this two step system delivers a show-car luster in record time. For use with 3M 05723, 05721, 05723, 05731, 05734, and 05737 Perfect-It Foam Compounding Pads.  VOC content less than 17%.
