SEM 39043, Trim Clear, Wheel Clear, 12 oz Aerosol

SEM 39043 Trim Clear or Wheel Clear is a conveniently packaged aerosol clearcoat that can be used to refinish exterior or interior trim or wheels. Trim clear can be applied over other SEM trim paints for added protection. Wheel clear sticks well to properly cleaned and treated stainless steel, chrome, and aluminum without the use of a bare metal primer or adhesion promoter.

Preparation: Wash part thoroughly with soap and water. Clean with good quality Grease and Wax remover such as SEM PN# 38373. Sand with 400 grit sandpaper and reclean with G&W remover. Mask off all areas not to be coated to protect from overspray. Apply light mist coats evenly allowing 5-10 minutes between coats. Several thin coats are better than 1 heavy coat.

Note: Don't rush to install the part after applying. Trim clear adhesion improves with time. Full hardness should be obtained in 48 hours.
