SEM 39793, Chip Guard, Heavy Texture

Heavy Texture Chip Guard protects vulnerable lower panels from chipping and corrosion. It is formulated to duplicate mediumto coarse OEM textures. Opaque color allows for easy paint coverage.

Surface Preparation for Chip Guard: 

Clean surface thoroughly with 38373 SEM SOLVE. Remove any loose paint and sand with 400 grit paper. Blow off and clean again with 38373. Mask off adjacent areas not to be coated to protect from paint overspray.

Application Procedure for Chip Guard:

• Coats: 3 medium wet coats
• Distance: 18” - 24”
• Flash time: 5 -10 minutes between coat 

Close spray distance results in heavier texture while increased spray distance and light coats offer a finer texture.
